about us

Carrie Andress M.S., L.Ac.

Carrie Andress received her Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York. She earned her Masters degree in 2002 after finishing a three-year program at Tri State College of Acupuncture in Manhattan. Carrie completed two additional years of training in Chinese herbal medicine. She is certified to practice Acupuncture nationally and to practice Chinese medicine. At Tri-State, Carrie quickly gained a reputation for her developed sense of palpatory skills and needling technique. Carrie has eighteen years experience in Nutritional Counseling and Wellness Coaching with athletes and the general public.

Carrie's key to success is due to continued training with specialists in Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine and many alternative techniques. Because of her gifted sense of helping the body heal itself through touch, she went on to train with her former teachers at Tri-State, Tom Bisio and Frank Butler where she was taught Tui Na, an osteopathic type of medical massage. Carrie learned Cranio Sacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute, and Zero Balancing with Jim McCormick. She has had advanced training in treating infertility with Traditional Chinese Medicine from Elaine Stern and Deborah Waddell. Carrie received specialized instruction in Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation from Mary Elizabeth-Wakefield. Carrie is continuing training with her mentor, Dr. Stephen Kaufman, in Pain Neutralization Technique. Dr. Kaufman’s mentor was George J. Goodheart, the father of Applied Kinesiology. By integrating various techniques, Carrie’s goal is to transform people to their highest potential for better health.
